Idaho Leads

Idaho Leads Project

Idaho Leads builds leadership capacity in Idaho’s K-12 public schools by working with a community of professional learners including trustees, superintendents, principals, teachers, parents and community members. By drawing on the shared expertise of its participants and providing cutting edge professional development on current topics, Idaho Leads is helping to shape an environment in which all Idaho students succeed.

The Center for School Improvement & Policy Studies (CSIPS) facilitates the project, which is funded by the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation. The project is co-directed by Boise State University professors William Parrett, CSIPS Director; Kathleen Budge, Associate Professor of Educational Leadership; and Lisa Kinnaman, Director of Improvement Support to States for CSIPS.

The Idaho Leads learning community includes more than 1,000 educators from 65 school districts and charters. Idaho Leads-provided resources and professional development reach more than 8,000 teachers and 175,000 students across the state of Idaho.

All Idaho districts were invited to join the Idaho Leads Project. Bonneville Joint School District 93 and other participating districts convene for regional network meetings to define priorities, identify and celebrate successes, and determine areas where improvements can be made.
