What is the Bonneville Education Foundation?

Image of girl on a computer looking at cameraThe Bonneville Education Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  It was founded in 1992 by a group of involved community members committed to providing resources which would foster a caring, challenging, technologically advanced and culturally enriched learning environment where our students could reach their full potential.

Bonneville Education Foundation MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Bonneville Education Foundation is to provide a vehicle through which patrons can contribute money to schools and programs in Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 while receiving a generous tax benefit.

Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 formed the Bonneville Education Foundation to raise money for the schools and programs within the District.  Through this program, valuable education experiences which require additional money for participation can be funded with tax-deductible funds.  Gifts we receive, no matter the size, have a significant impact on transforming students' lives.

Idaho tax laws now allow for a bigger contribution to schools by any Idaho resident.  Married couples may receive up to a $1,000 Idaho state tax credit and corporations may receive up to a $5,000 Idaho state tax credit.  The following is an example which illustrates the potential tax savings available to donors for contributions made in 2011:

        Federal Tax Deduction

        State Tax Deduction

        State Tax Credit

        Total Cost of Donation
