I grew up in a family of teachers. My great-grandfather was a teacher, principal, and college professor in Ogden, Utah for many years. My father taught in public schools and is now a professor at Brigham Young University-Idaho, and my mother works in public school as a special education paraprofessional. Being around people that love to teach has had a great impact on me.
As the oldest of six children, my love for teaching developed early. My memories growing up include myself as me being a “teacher” and my brothers and sister being the “students.” I even taught my brother Spencer how to read at the age of three. I have always had a passion for learning and teaching.
My hobbies include: cooking, sewing, singing, playing the piano, tennis and pressed flower artwork.
I taught High School for three years in Arizona. I taught Culinary Arts and Early Childhood Education. I have been teaching at Rocky Mountain Middle School for three years now. I love teaching at Rocky Mountain. I believe that if I can help students learn life skills I will help make a difference in the world. I love being a teacher!
